The recent expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) has caused consternation and controversy in many areas, but our London fleet has been fully electric since 2019. This means we are able to continue operating across Greater London without passing new charges onto our clients.
The decision to go electric is a big one but there are rewards as well as challenges. Our Head of Distribution, Marc Randall, says, “It can seem daunting at the beginning, all the set-up admin, registering for funding and so on, but we had so much government support which was a great positive force. And it makes sense from all angles, not least knowing we’re reducing our environmental impact at a critical moment in climate change history. Knowing we might encourage other businesses to follow suit, is a reward in itself. The benefits are huge when you get it right”.
We now have 8 electric vehicles and 5 Pod Point charging points at our warehouse in Haringey, allowing vans to be charged overnight on rotation. We’re proud that all London print distribution from Richmond to Romford and Croydon to Cricklewood is delivered by our clean, green fleet.
But what do our electric vans mean for our clients? We know that sustainability is key to organisations in the arts, leisure and tourism sectors. Quite simply, by reducing our carbon footprint we are reducing yours too, and it doesn’t cost you a penny!
We’re cleaning up London’s air together.
